At BB Brows Cosmetic Tattooing, we believe no two faces are alike—so no two cosmetic tattoos should be either.

Every treatment begins with a personalized design carefully created around your unique facial features, bone structure, natural muscle movement, existing anatomy, and aesthetic goals. Before any tattooing begins, we work together to create a custom sketch that complements your natural beauty and ensures you feel confident with the design.

Every cosmetic tattoo also includes a custom pigment blend formulated specifically for you. Your artist carefully considers your natural skin undertones, existing pigment, hair color, eye color, lifestyle, and desired healed result to create a color that looks soft, balanced, and natural—not simply a pigment selected straight from the bottle.

Whether you're enhancing your eyebrows, lips, eyeliner, or eyelashes, every treatment is performed with meticulous attention to detail, artistic precision, and a commitment to creating timeless results that heal beautifully and age gracefully.

At BB Brows, our goal isn't to change your appearance—it's to enhance what makes you uniquely you.

Choosing a permanent makeup artist is about more than beautiful results—it's about trusting someone with your health, safety, and face.

In Connecticut, cosmetic tattoo artists are required to complete a 2,000+ hour tattoo apprenticeship before becoming eligible for state licensure. In addition to obtaining a practitioner license, body art establishments must comply with Connecticut State and local regulations, including health department requirements, business licensing, insurance, and routine inspections. Professional artists also maintain ongoing education in CPR/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, infection prevention, and industry best practices.

Owner and artist Bebe completed over 2,500 hours of apprenticeship training, exceeding Connecticut's licensing requirements, and has continued her education for more than six years through advanced, hands-on training in cosmetic tattooing, pigmentology, color theory, skin science, and modern permanent makeup techniques.

This commitment to continued education allows her to combine scientific knowledge with artistic precision to create cosmetic tattoos that heal beautifully, look natural, and age gracefully.

Medical Conditions & Client Eligibility

Your health and safety are our highest priorities. Permanent makeup is an elective cosmetic procedure and may not be suitable for everyone. Certain medical conditions, medications, and treatments can affect healing, pigment retention, and your overall results.

Permanent makeup is not recommended for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you have any medical condition, we strongly recommend consulting your physician before scheduling a cosmetic tattoo procedure. Medical clearance may be required for certain conditions.

Medical Conditions That May Require Medical Clearance or Additional Evaluation

  • Blood clotting disorders or bleeding disorders
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Uncontrolled diabetes
  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders
  • Heart conditions
  • Active cancer or current chemotherapy/radiation treatments
  • Autoimmune conditions (including Lupus, Vitiligo, and similar disorders)
  • Immunocompromised conditions or medications that suppress the immune system
  • Keloid or hypertrophic scarring
  • HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or other conditions that may affect healing
  • Any condition that may interfere with normal wound healing

Please note that even with medical clearance, some conditions may result in slower healing, reduced pigment retention, or less predictable healed results. A patch test may be recommended when appropriate.

You Should Postpone Your Appointment If You Have:

  • An active cold sore (for lip procedures)
  • Any active skin infection, rash, open wound, or irritation in or near the treatment area
  • A fever or contagious illness
  • Excessive sunburn or recently irritated skin

Recent Cosmetic Procedures

Please wait before scheduling permanent makeup if you have had:

  • Dermal fillers in or near the treatment area within the past 4–6 weeks
  • Chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, or other resurfacing procedures within the past 4 weeks
  • Excessive sun exposure or tanning within the past 1 week
  • Accutane (Isotretinoin) within the past 6–12 months, unless cleared by your physician

Menstrual Cycle

Some clients may experience increased sensitivity, tenderness, or minor bleeding during their menstrual cycle. While treatment is still possible, you may prefer to schedule your appointment at another time for greater comfort.

Medications & Supplements

Certain medications and supplements may increase bleeding or affect healing. Examples include:

  • Aspirin
  • Ibuprofen and other NSAIDs
  • Blood thinners
  • Vitamin E
  • Fish oil and certain herbal supplements
  • Alcohol

If medically appropriate, some medications or supplements may need to be temporarily paused before your appointment. Never discontinue or adjust prescription medications without approval from your prescribing healthcare provider.

Please disclose all prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, and medical conditions on your client intake form. This information helps your artist customize your treatment for the safest procedure and the best possible healed results.

New Client Medical Intake

All new cosmetic tattoo clients are required to complete a confidential medical intake form before treatment approval. No exceptions.

The information you provide is used solely to evaluate your eligibility for treatment, identify any potential risks, and customize your procedure based on your individual health history.

Your personal health information is kept confidential and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA, where applicable. Your information is never shared without your authorization except as required by law.

Providing complete and honest information allows your artist to make informed decisions, recommend appropriate modifications when necessary, and deliver the safest treatment with the best opportunity for beautiful, long-lasting results.

This is one of the most common questions we receive!

The truth is, pain is subjective—everyone experiences discomfort differently. The good news is that most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the procedure actually is.

Our goal is to make your experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible. While it's normal to experience mild tenderness or slight swelling immediately after treatment, these symptoms typically subside within a few hours and continue to improve throughout the day.

Eyebrows

Many clients say that having their eyebrows tattooed feels less uncomfortable than tweezing or waxing their brows. Most describe the sensation as light scratching or gentle pressure rather than pain.

Lip Blush

Lip Blush is often described as feeling more like dry or chapped lips than a traditional body tattoo. Unlike body tattoos, which can leave a lingering burning sensation, most clients find cosmetic lip tattooing surprisingly tolerable.

My Experience

Before offering Lip Blush, I chose to have my own lips tattooed so I could personally understand the experience and better educate my clients.

Like many people, I was a little nervous beforehand. I had never been someone who wore lipstick—just clear gloss—and I wanted the most natural, undetectable result possible.

To my surprise, I experienced very little discomfort, even without numbing. Today, no one realizes my lips are tattooed unless I tell them, and that's exactly how I believe permanent makeup should look.

My goal has always been to create enhancements that look like you—only refreshed. Soft, natural results that heal beautifully, age gracefully, and can be refreshed over time with future color boosts when desired.

Let's Talk About Numbing

One thing that often surprises clients is that most of my treatments are completed with little or no numbing at all.

Over the years, I've found that many clients are extremely comfortable without pre-numbing or secondary numbing, and their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. However, every client is different.

If you're feeling nervous, have a lower pain tolerance, or become uncomfortable at any point during your appointment, numbing options are available. Your comfort is always my priority, and I will tailor your experience to your individual needs.

If you have additional questions about comfort, healing, or which permanent makeup technique is best for you, I'd be happy to answer them during your complimentary consultation.

One last thing...

The comment I hear most often after an appointment is:

"I wish I had done this sooner."

I have a feeling you might say the same.

Microblading vs. Nano Brows

Choosing the right eyebrow technique is one of the most important decisions you'll make when considering permanent makeup. While both Microblading and Nano Brows create the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs, the techniques are very different.

Microblading (Manual Hand Tool)

Microblading is performed using a manual hand tool with tiny needles that create fine, hair-like strokes by depositing pigment into the skin.

When performed on the right candidate by a highly trained artist, Microblading can produce beautiful results. However, it is best suited for a very limited range of skin types, typically younger clients with healthy, normal-to-dry skin and minimal sun damage.

Microblading is generally not recommended for:

  • Oily skin
  • Mature skin
  • Thin or fragile skin
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Clients with enlarged pores
  • Clients with previous permanent makeup (in many cases)

Over time, repeated Microblading touch-ups can become less predictable as the skin naturally changes with age. Hair strokes may gradually soften, blur, or appear less defined. In some cases, corrective work or tattoo removal may be recommended before creating a new set of brows.

For these reasons, BB Brows does not offer Microblading.

Nano Brows (Machine Hair Strokes)

Nano Brows use a professional cosmetic tattoo machine with an ultra-fine needle to create realistic hair strokes that mimic the natural direction, texture, and flow of eyebrow hair.

Unlike Microblading, the tattoo machine implants pigment with exceptional precision and consistency, making the procedure significantly more versatile and suitable for a much wider range of skin types.

Nano Brows are an excellent option for:

  • Oily skin
  • Mature skin
  • Dry skin
  • Combination skin
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Younger clients
  • Many clients with previous tattoo removal or faded permanent makeup

Because the tattoo machine allows for greater precision and less mechanical dragging of the skin, Nano Brows are considered a gentler technique when performed correctly by an experienced cosmetic tattoo artist.

Why I Choose Nano Brows

At BB Brows, I specialize exclusively in machine techniques because they allow me to customize every eyebrow to the individual client's skin, facial features, and long-term goals.

A cosmetic tattoo machine is incredibly versatile and can be used to create:

  • Nano Brows
  • Powder Brows
  • Ombré Brows
  • Combination Brows
  • Lip Blush
  • Eyeliner Tattoo
  • Beauty Marks
  • Freckles
  • Fine line cosmetic tattoos

This versatility allows me to combine soft shading with realistic hair strokes to create eyebrows that look natural both up close and from a distance.

Natural Results That Age Beautifully

One of my biggest goals is creating permanent makeup that continues to look beautiful years from now—not just the day it's done.

Nano Brows, Powder Brows, and Ombré Brows are designed to gradually soften over time. As the pigment naturally fades, there is room to refresh the color, adjust the shape if desired, and maintain a soft, natural appearance.

Permanent makeup should never look harsh or outdated.

It should enhance your features, complement your face, and age gracefully alongside you.

That's why Nano Brows have become my preferred eyebrow technique and the one I confidently recommend to the vast majority of my clients.

Beautiful lips aren't always about adding volume—sometimes, they're simply about restoring color.

At BB Brows Cosmetic Tattoo in Niantic, Connecticut, every Lip Blush treatment is thoughtfully customized to enhance your natural features while creating soft, timeless results that heal beautifully and age gracefully.

What Is Lip Blush?

Lip Blush is a cosmetic tattoo designed to restore lost color, improve symmetry, define the vermilion border, and create the appearance of healthier, more youthful-looking lips.

Whether color has faded naturally with age or changed due to scarring, previous lip filler, or genetics, Lip Blush can enhance your lips while maintaining a natural appearance.

Every treatment begins with a custom pigment formulation based on your:

  • Natural lip undertones
  • Skin tone
  • Hair color
  • Existing lip color
  • Desired healed result

You're even welcome to bring your favorite lipstick or lip gloss for inspiration.

At BB Brows, it's never about choosing a pretty pigment straight from the bottle.

The most beautiful results come from carefully blending pigments specifically for your unique lips to achieve the most predictable and natural healed outcome.

Does Lip Blush Make Lips Look Fuller?

Many clients are surprised to learn that color alone can create the illusion of fuller lips.

As we age, our lips naturally lose pigment and definition, making them appear smaller than they actually are.

Lip Blush restores that lost color and softly defines the lip border, giving the appearance of fuller, healthier, more youthful lips—without changing your natural shape.

Dermal filler and Lip Blush are very different treatments.

  • Lip Blush restores color, definition, and symmetry.
  • Lip filler adds physical volume.

Many of my clients initially considered lip filler but chose Lip Blush first. After restoring natural color and definition, they discovered they loved the appearance of their lips and no longer felt additional volume was necessary.

For those who do desire more fullness, Lip Blush and filler complement one another beautifully when treatments are properly spaced between your injector and permanent makeup artist.

Who Is Lip Blush For?

Lip Blush is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to:

  • Restore faded lip color
  • Improve lip symmetry
  • Define the vermilion border
  • Enhance naturally pale lips
  • Correct uneven color
  • Create a healthier, more youthful appearance
  • Enjoy natural-looking color without daily lipstick

What Is Lip Neutralization?

Lip Neutralization, also called Lip Brightening, is designed for clients whose lips have naturally cooler or darker tones.

This treatment helps neutralize unwanted tones before gradually building toward a more even, balanced lip color.

Lip Neutralization is ideal for lips with:

  • Gray tones
  • Purple tones
  • Brown tones
  • Multi-tonal pigmentation
  • Uneven lip color

Every treatment plan is customized according to your starting lip color, skin tone, and desired healed result.

Why Are Multiple Sessions Needed?

All Lip Blush treatments require a minimum of two sessions to achieve optimal healed results.

Clients undergoing Lip Neutralization often require additional sessions because the existing pigment must first be safely balanced before adding the final target color.

The exact number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on factors such as:

  • Starting lip color
  • Pigment retention
  • Healing response
  • Skin health
  • Desired end result

Each appointment builds upon the previous healed result, allowing color to be adjusted gradually for the most natural outcome.

Before & Aftercare Matter

Beautiful healed results begin long before your appointment.

Following your pre-care instructions helps prepare the skin for treatment, while proper aftercare is essential for pigment retention, comfortable healing, and long-term results.

Because your lips are constantly exposed to sunlight, weather, food, and daily movement, protecting your investment is important.

Daily SPF protection is one of the best ways to preserve the longevity and vibrancy of your cosmetic tattoo.

Permanent Makeup Should Age Gracefully

My philosophy has always been simple:

Permanent makeup should enhance—not overpower—your natural beauty.

Your cosmetic tattoo should soften naturally over time, allowing room for future color boosts, subtle adjustments, and evolving beauty preferences.

In some situations—particularly with previous permanent makeup performed elsewhere—laser tattoo removal or saline lightening may be recommended before beginning a new treatment. Every client is unique, and recommendations are always based on your individual lips, goals, and long-term results.

If you're unsure whether Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization is right for you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan designed specifically for your lips and your goals.

Permanent makeup is designed to fade gradually over time—not last forever. This allows your cosmetic tattoo to age naturally with your skin and gives you the flexibility to refresh the color or make subtle adjustments as your features and preferences evolve.

When performed by a skilled cosmetic tattoo artist using high-quality pigments, most permanent makeup lasts:

  • Eyebrows: Approximately 1–3+ years
  • Lip Blush: Approximately 2–5+ years
  • Eyeliner Tattoo: Approximately 2–5+ years

Touch-ups are need-based and recommended only when your cosmetic tattoo has softened enough to benefit from a color refresh. Every client's fading process is unique.

What Affects How Long Permanent Makeup Lasts?

Several factors influence pigment retention and how your cosmetic tattoo heals over time, including:

  • Skin type (oily skin typically fades faster)
  • Age and skin health
  • Medications and medical conditions
  • Hormonal changes, including pregnancy and menopause
  • Smoking and lifestyle habits
  • Daily skincare routine
  • Sun exposure
  • Individual healing response

Because everyone's skin is different, no two healed results or fading timelines are exactly alike.

Sun Exposure Is the #1 Cause of Fading

Ultraviolet (UV) exposure is the leading cause of premature pigment fading and color shifting.

Clients who wear broad-spectrum SPF daily typically maintain their cosmetic tattoo significantly longer than those who spend frequent time in the sun or use tanning beds.

If you invest in permanent makeup, SPF should become your new best friend.

Skincare Products That Can Fade Pigment Faster

Products designed to increase skin cell turnover can gradually lighten cosmetic tattoo pigment.

These include:

  • Retinol
  • Tretinoin (Retin-A)
  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)
  • Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs)
  • Exfoliating acids
  • Skin-renewing or resurfacing serums
  • Lightening or whitening creams used near the treated area

These products don't damage the tattoo but may cause it to fade more quickly over time.

Lip Blush Longevity

Lip Blush generally lasts 2–5+ years, although longevity varies based on your lifestyle, lip health, and personal goals.

Factors that may shorten pigment retention include:

  • Smoking or vaping
  • Dry, dehydrated lips
  • Frequent lip biting or picking
  • Excessive sun exposure
  • Poor hydration
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Hormonal changes
  • Certain medications and medical conditions

Clients who keep their lips moisturized, protected with SPF, and gently exfoliated once or twice weekly often notice brighter, longer-lasting healed color.

Eyebrows & Eyeliner

Eyebrows and eyeliner also soften naturally over time.

Creating soft, natural-looking cosmetic tattoos leaves room for future maintenance without the brows or eyeliner becoming overly saturated or harsh after multiple touch-ups.

This approach allows your permanent makeup to continue looking fresh, balanced, and natural for years to come.

Permanent Makeup Is Meant to Age Gracefully

Unlike traditional body tattoos, cosmetic tattoos are intentionally designed to soften over time.

As your skin naturally renews itself, pigment gradually fades, creating the perfect opportunity to refresh your color when needed.

Rather than chasing permanent darkness, my goal is to create enhancements that continue to look soft, elegant, and natural throughout the years.

With proper aftercare, daily SPF, healthy skin habits, and periodic maintenance, your permanent makeup can remain beautiful for many years while preserving the integrity of your skin.

When the time comes, a simple color refresh is often all that's needed to restore your results.

Permanent makeup is more than a beauty treatment—it's a confidence boost, a time saver, and an investment in yourself.

If you spend time filling in your eyebrows every morning, struggle to apply makeup because of vision changes or unsteady hands, or have experienced hair loss due to aging, over-plucking, medical conditions, medications, or chemotherapy, permanent makeup can help restore both definition and confidence.

Cosmetic tattooing is designed to enhance your natural features, allowing you to wake up looking refreshed, youthful, and effortlessly put together—without the need to apply makeup every day.

Whether your style is soft and natural or a little more defined, every treatment is customized to your personal preferences and facial features.

For eyebrows, you may prefer:

  • Soft, natural Nano Brows
  • Powder Brows with a gentle makeup effect
  • Ombré Brows for added definition
  • A combination of hair strokes and soft shading

For lips, your healed results can range from:

  • A subtle, lip-tinted flush of color
  • Soft color correction and definition
  • A more vibrant lipstick-inspired effect

Your desired result, natural coloring, skin characteristics, and lifestyle are all carefully considered when designing your treatment.

No two clients are alike, which is why no two cosmetic tattoos should ever be identical.

Every appointment is a collaboration between you and your artist. Together, we'll discuss your goals, evaluate your unique features, and create a personalized treatment plan so you feel informed, comfortable, and confident every step of the way.

At BB Brows, the goal is never to change how you look—it's to create natural, timeless enhancements that still look like you, only refreshed.

Whether you're coming in for brows, eyeliner, or lip blush, your appointment is designed to be a relaxed, personalized experience. Every treatment is customized specifically for your facial features, skin type, and desired results.

Arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointment with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area. If you wear contact lenses and are receiving eyeliner, you'll be asked to remove them before your procedure.

Once you arrive, we'll review your medical history, acknowledgement forms, discuss your goals, answer any remaining questions, and take before photos.

Custom Design & Mapping

One of the most important parts of your appointment is the design process.

Your treatment begins with a detailed consultation where we'll discuss your preferences, facial symmetry, skin type, lifestyle, and desired outcome. I will carefully map and draw your new brows, eyeliner, or lip shape until you're completely comfortable with the design.

Nothing is tattooed until you approve the shape.

Color Selection

Pigment selection is customized specifically for you.

Your skin type, tone, undertones, natural hair color, eye color, age, and long-term healed results are all considered when selecting the most flattering pigment.

Every color is chosen to heal as naturally as possible while complementing your features.

During the Procedure

Once the design has been approved, the tattooing process begins.

Many clients are surprised by how comfortable the tattoo process is.

Sensitivity varies from person to person, but most describe the treatment as mild discomfort rather than pain.

Throughout the appointment, you'll have opportunities to take short breaks if needed, and I'll explain each step so you always know what to expect.

After Your Treatment

Immediately after your tattoo appointment, your permanent makeup will appear darker, brighter, or more defined than your healed result. This is completely normal.

As your skin heals over the following weeks, the color will soften and lighten as the pigment settles.

You will receive detailed email and verbal aftercare instructions before leaving your appointment to help ensure the best possible healing.

Your Perfected Results

Permanent makeup is completed in two stages.

A perfecting session is typically performed 6–12 weeks after your initial appointment. This visit allows any areas that healed lighter to be adjusted and ensures your final healed results are balanced, beautiful, and long-lasting.

Every person's skin heals differently, making the perfecting session an essential part of achieving the best outcome.

No result is absolutely guaranteed as the color will heal depending on your skin.

Relax — You're in Experienced Hands

At BB Brows, every treatment is performed using high-quality EU REACH-compliant pigments, sterile single-use equipment, and techniques that prioritize both safety and natural-looking results.

My goal is to create timeless permanent makeup that enhances your features—not overpowers them—while making sure you feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout your entire experience.

All clients receive pre-care, aftercare instructions, and an aftercare kit along with my emotional support for the easiest healing experience possible ;-)

At BB Brows, every brow appointment is completely customized to your unique facial features, bone structure, skin type, and personal style.

Whether you're receiving Nano Brows, Powder Brows, or Combination Brows, your appointment is designed to create soft, natural-looking results that complement your face.

Before We Begin

Please arrive with clean skin and avoid wearing makeup on your eyebrows if possible.

We'll review your health history, discuss your goals, answer any questions, and take before photos.

Brow Mapping & Design

This is one of the most important parts of your appointment.

Using professional measuring tools and facial mapping techniques, I will carefully design your brows based on your facial proportions—not using stencils or one-size-fits-all templates.

You'll have plenty of time to review the shape, request adjustments, and approve the design before any tattooing begins.

Nothing is tattooed until you're completely happy with the shape.

Choosing Your Pigment

Your pigment is selected specifically for your skin tone, undertones, natural hair color, and long-term healed results using premium EU REACH-compliant pigments chosen for beautiful, natural healing and color stability over time.

During Your Tattoo

Once your design has been approved, the tattooing process begins.

Most clients describe the tattooing process as very tolerable. Everyone experiences discomfort differently, and your comfort is a priority throughout your appointment. I will check on you often, but you might be asleep ;-)

Your complete appointment typically lasts about 3 hours, with most of that time dedicated to consultation, design, and customization.

Immediately After Your Appointment

Your brows will appear darker, more defined, and slightly bolder than your healed results. The area may be red or tender, slightly uneven if there is any swelling, this subsides rather quickly and varies by skin type..

This is all completely normal.

Over the next several weeks, your brows will soften as your skin heals and the pigment settles into its final color.

Detailed aftercare instructions will be reviewed with you before you leave.

You will also receive an after care kit and instructions via email.

Your Perfecting Session

Permanent makeup is a two-step process.

A perfecting session is recommended approximately 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment to reinforce pigment, make any necessary adjustments (bolder, thicker, longer at the tails etc.) and perfect your final healed results.

Every client's skin heals differently, making this appointment an important part of achieving beautiful, long-lasting brows.

I never make promises or guarantee any one client will heal a specific way. We are walking living canvases so building the desired results with a perfecting session (if needed) is the safest way to achieve your brow goals.

Everyone's skin heals differently so perfecting appointments are need based therefore priced separately.

Lip Blush is designed to enhance your natural lip color, improve definition, restore symmetry, and create the appearance of fuller, healthier-looking lips without fillers.

Consultation

We'll begin by discussing your goals, reviewing your health history, acknowledgement forms, and determining the best approach for your desired results.

If appropriate, we'll also discuss whether lip neutralization or lip brightening may be recommended before a traditional lip blush treatment.

Lip Design

Together we'll determine the ideal shape while respecting your natural lip anatomy.

The goal is enhancement—not dramatically changing your natural lip shape.

I will never tattoo more than 2mm outside of the (vermilion border) lip line.

I am ONLY able to tattoo the natural lip tissue never extending the tattoo on to the skin.

Lip filler will help with volume if that is your goal. Lip Blush will only create the illusion of fuller lips since color is what we are enhancing.

Color Selection

Your pigment is customized to your skin tone, natural lip color, undertones, and desired healed result.

We'll discuss how different colors heal so you know exactly what to expect.

During the Lip Tattoo

Lip tattoo appointments are scheduled for around 3 hours.

Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the treatment is and often rate it as only mild discomfort.

Throughout your appointment, we'll ensure you're comfortable while carefully building soft, even color.

Healing

Immediately afterward, your lips will appear brighter and more vibrant than their final healed color.

Swelling is typically mild and temporary.

Over the following weeks, the color will soften significantly before revealing your healed results.

This healing process is completely normal.

Perfecting Session

A second appointment is recommended approximately 10–12 weeks later to perfect your color and ensure beautiful, even healed results.

Wake up with beautifully defined eyes every day.

Permanent eyeliner enhances your lash line, creates the appearance of fuller lashes, and eliminates the need for daily eyeliner application.

Before Your Appointment

Please arrive without eye makeup whenever possible.

If you wear contact lenses, you'll remove them before tattooing and should bring glasses to wear home afterward.

Consultation & Design

We'll discuss your desired look—from an ultra-natural lash enhancement to a soft winged eyeliner.

Every design is customized to complement your eye shape, age, and facial features.

During the Tattoo

Your appointment typically lasts around 3 hours.

The procedure is performed with precision and care, with your comfort prioritized throughout the appointment.

Most clients describe the treatment as much easier than they expected.

Immediately After Eyeliner Tattoo

Your eyeliner may appear darker and slightly thicker immediately after your appointment.

Minor swelling is normal and typically subsides within 24–48 hours.

As your skin heals, the color will soften into a beautiful, natural-looking result.

Your Perfecting Appointment

Like all permanent makeup treatments, eyeliner is completed in two stages.

A perfecting session approximately 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment allows for any necessary refinements and helps ensure long-lasting, balanced results.

At BB Brows, every eyeliner treatment is customized with safety, precision, and your natural beauty in mind.

If you've ever had a cold sore—even just once in your life—it's important to let me know before your lip blush appointment.

The lip blush procedure creates tiny openings in the skin, which can trigger the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) in individuals who carry it. Even if you haven't had a cold sore in years, the virus can remain dormant and reactivate after a lip tattoo.

Why Prevention Is Important

A cold sore outbreak during the healing process can:

  • Delay healing
  • Affect pigment retention
  • Increase the need for additional touch-ups
  • Cause discomfort during recovery

Taking preventative steps greatly reduces the risk of an outbreak and helps promote the best possible healed results.

Do I Need Antiviral Medication?

If you have a history of cold sores, it is strongly recommended that you speak with your healthcare provider about obtaining a prescription for an antiviral medication such as Valacyclovir (Valtrex) or Acyclovir before your appointment.

Your prescribing provider will determine the appropriate medication and dosage based on your medical history.

Many healthcare providers recommend starting antiviral medication before your lip blush procedure and continuing it for several days afterward. Always follow your provider's instructions.

Although the medication is a preventative it is not guaranteed that it will be effective. Some clients suffer from cold sores and never got one after Lip Blush. Some clients got cold sores during healing and their healed results look great. Everyone's body responds differently.

What If I Have an Active Cold Sore?

If you currently have a cold sore or feel one developing—including tingling, itching, burning, or tenderness—your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

Lip blush should never be performed over an active outbreak.

What If I've Never Had a Cold Sore?

Although the risk is much lower, it is still possible for a lip tattoo to trigger a first noticeable outbreak in someone who carries the virus without knowing it.

For this reason, all clients should understand that cold sores are a known risk associated with lip blush procedures.

Your Safety Comes First

At BB Brows, your safety is my top priority. If you have any concerns about cold sores, antiviral medication, or whether you're a candidate for lip blush, please schedule a complimentary consultation before booking your procedure.

Together, we'll review your medical history and determine the safest approach to help you achieve beautiful, healed results.

Please Note: BB Brows cannot prescribe antiviral medication or provide medical advice. Medication decisions should always be made by your licensed healthcare provider.

Cosmetic tattooing, also known as permanent makeup, is more than a beauty treatment—it's an investment in your confidence, your time, and your quality of life.

Think about how much time you spend filling in your eyebrows, applying eyeliner, reapplying lipstick, or trying to achieve the perfect makeup look every day.

Now imagine waking up every morning already looking refreshed, polished, and put together.

Permanent makeup allows you to spend less time in front of the mirror and more time enjoying your life.

Beauty That Works With Your Lifestyle

Whether you're heading to work, the gym, the beach, on vacation, or simply running errands, your makeup stays with you.

No smudging.
No sweating it off.
No reapplying throughout the day.

Just beautiful, effortless enhancements that complement your natural features.

The Investment Perspective

Many of us routinely invest in beauty and wellness services because they help us look and feel our best.

For example:

  • Botox: $350–$600+ every 3–6 months
  • Hair appointments: $200+ per visit
  • Facials: $200+ per treatment
  • Nail appointments: $100+ every few weeks
  • Massage therapy
  • Gym memberships
  • Skincare products
  • Makeup purchases

These services all have value—and so does permanent makeup.

The difference is that a professionally performed cosmetic tattoo can provide beautiful results for years, with only occasional maintenance appointments as needed.

What You're Really Investing In

You're not simply paying for a cosmetic tattoo.

You're investing in:

  • More time every morning
  • Greater confidence
  • Natural-looking beauty
  • Everyday convenience
  • Long-lasting results
  • The freedom to wake up feeling refreshed
  • Confidence while swimming, exercising, traveling, or enjoying everyday life
  • A treatment customized specifically for you

Those benefits become part of your daily routine every single day.

More Than Beauty

Permanent makeup isn't about changing who you are.

It's about enhancing what you already have.

Whether your goal is restoring brows affected by over-plucking, creating naturally fuller-looking lips, defining your eyes, or simply simplifying your morning routine, every treatment is designed to help you feel like the very best version of yourself.

The Best Investment You Can Make

The cost of permanent makeup isn't simply the price of a procedure.

It's an investment in yourself.

In your confidence.

In your self-care.

In your time.

And in the way you feel every time you look in the mirror.

If you've been considering permanent makeup but aren't sure which treatment is right for you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation.

There's no pressure—just an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your goals, and discover what's possible.

After all...

When we look good, we feel good. And when we feel good, we show up differently in every part of our lives.

Whatever treatment you choose, choose it for you.

With appreciation,
BB Brows Cosmetic Tattoo

Many clients respectfully prefer to not have their photos shown on BB Brows CT website or social media platforms due to profession, privacy, personal reasons etc.,

However, these clients do give BB Brows Cosmetic Tattooing written permission to show potential clients their before, after, and healed photos during in person consultations.

Please keep in mind, this website showcases some permanent makeup clients, mostly fresh work, but definitely not all.

Consultations are highly recommended, especially if you don't see anyone in the artists' portfolio that relates to you.

Another friendly reminder:

Fresh work will look vibrant and more intense than the healed results. Never judge the work you see showcased as an end result. Healed results are much softer and natural looking.

Healed work will be noted along with fresh work in the descriptions of most photos posted within the portfolio. Sometimes we don't see clients again for 1-3 years, but we always get selfies sent to the studio for updates on results and touch up recommendations. We always have photos to show for an example of healed work. You can find more examples of client results on Instagram/TikTok @b.b.pmu

Last friendly reminder.

All permanent makeup treatments require a minimum of 2+ sessions. This is because your artist can never predict how a clients skin will heal.

The first session allows your artist to learn the skin and see how the skin heals then adjustments can be made at the perfecting appointment usually after 8-16 weeks.

Most clients will not need a second (perfecting) session. Sessions needed are unpredictable as results differ for each unique client, skin, lifestyle, and end goals. Another great reason to start conservative at the initial appointment, we can always build adjust shape, density, and add more safely, but it is much more difficult to take away.

This is indeed a tattoo that does soften over time to a softer version of the initial color to make room for adjustments over time. Skin integrity and natural looking results will always be the main goals.

Any questions please reach out to the studio, we would love to answer your questions.

  • What is a Korean Lash Lift?

A Korean Lash Lift is an advanced lash lifting treatment that enhances your natural lashes by lifting them from the root, creating the appearance of longer, fuller, beautifully curled lashes. Unlike eyelash extensions, it works with your own natural lashes, giving you a low-maintenance, effortless look that lasts for weeks.

  • How long does a Korean Lash Lift last?

Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you follow the recommended aftercare. Most clients schedule maintenance appointments every 6–8 weeks to keep their lashes looking their best.

  • Is a Korean Lash Lift better than a traditional lash lift?

Korean Lash Lift systems are known for their innovative formulations and customized techniques that focus on both beautiful results and maintaining the health of your natural lashes. Every client's lashes are different, but many people choose a Korean Lash Lift because it delivers a soft, natural-looking lift while prioritizing lash integrity.

  • Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes! Once the initial 24-hour aftercare period has passed, you can wear mascara if you choose. Many clients find they no longer need mascara because their natural lashes already appear darker, longer, and more lifted.

  • How should I care for my lashes after treatment?

For the first 24 hours, avoid getting your lashes wet, using steam or saunas, swimming, excessive sweating, sleeping face-down, and applying eye makeup or oil-based products around the eyes. Following these aftercare instructions helps ensure the best possible results.

  • Does a Korean Lash Lift damage my natural lashes?

When performed by a trained professional using high-quality products and proper techniques, a Korean Lash Lift is designed to safely enhance your natural lashes. Healthy application, correct timing, and appropriate aftercare all play an important role in maintaining lash health.

  • Is a Korean Lash Lift right for me?

A Korean Lash Lift is ideal for anyone who wants naturally lifted, curled lashes without the maintenance of eyelash extensions. It's especially popular for clients with straight, downward-growing, or difficult-to-curl lashes, as well as those with active lifestyles who want beautiful, effortless lashes every day.

  • Can I combine a Korean Lash Lift with a lash tint?

Absolutely! Many clients choose to add a lash tint for even more definition. A tint darkens the lashes from root to tip, creating the appearance of fuller, more dramatic lashes without the need for mascara.

  • How long does my appointment take?

A Korean Lash Lift appointment typically takes 60–90 minutes, depending on your natural lashes and whether you're adding a lash tint.

  • Who performs my Korean Lash Lift?

At BB Brows Cosmetic Tattooing in Niantic, Connecticut, all Permanent Makeup treatments and eyelash services such as lash extensions and a Korean Lash Lift is performed by a licensed Connecticut Cosmetic Tattoo & Lash Artist using professional products and strict sanitation protocols to ensure your comfort, safety, and beautiful, long-lasting results.
